About Beth

Hi, Iā€™m Beth and I am an accredited integrative counsellor in private practice, specialising in counselling for women who have experienced trauma. I am also trained in EMDR. I do online and face-to-face work in Headington, Oxford, where I live with my partner.

As well being in private practice and running CTP I am a writer (of both fiction and non-fiction). So, I am aware that it is often a necessity to create new streams of income as a counsellor! Having said that I do love the variety this brings.

Before becoming a counsellor and after doing a History degree I worked in a variety of roles including events management and Human Resources. Due to my interest in writing I also did some communications work and have a Post-Graduate Certificate in Communications. This is why my work for CTP is on the communications side. I really enjoy doing communications work with a therapeutic purpose!

In my spare time I enjoy art (in particular Lino-printing), swimming, walking in nature and reading. As you can tell, I am quite a creative soul. I also bring my creativity into the counselling room, working with art, writing and metaphor. I am very interested in how I can help myself and others to embrace creativity for healing and fulfilment.
